A FATHER and grandfather has tragically died less than two weeks after he was coward punched outside the Coolangatta Hotel.
Trevor Duroux spent 10 days fighting for his life in a coma in the Gold Coast University Hospital but sadly lost his battle yesterday afternoon.
The 40-year-old was allegedly punched in the back of the head on Marine Pde about 2am on Friday December 4.
Family have taken to Facebook to mourn the Tenterfield local and a large family service is planned to farewell Mr Duroux.
A relative posted, “heaven gained another angel and the earths raised another sinner. Every dog gets their day and he’ll get what’s coming his way. RestInParadise UncleTrev.”
Tristan Heather, an 18-year-old New Zealand national, is charged with the crime.
